In her role with the athletics department, she monitors continuing NCAA eligibility of all student-athletes for JU and be the liaison with the advising office and faculty advisers with regard to NCAA regulations for progress toward degree. She will also coordinate services directed toward the student-athlete population. Prior to joining athletics, Price was housed under the academic advising offices helping student-athletes with scheduling and other progress towards their degrees. Price made her way to the First Coast with an array of work experiences as an addictions therapist, retail manager, public relations coordinator and working for USA Swimming at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. No stranger to athletics, Price was co-captain of the varsity swim team at Mount Union College in Alliance, Ohio. She also swam and ran cross country in high school and continues to compete in local road races like the adidas Gate River Run and has tried her hand at triathlons as well. Price earned her bachelor’s degree in political science from Mount Union in 2003 and her master’s in community counseling in 2007. She and her husband, Ryan, were married on July 14, 2007. After residing in Ohio, Colorado and Massachusetts, the couple calls Jacksonville home. |
