Earl Owens begins his first year as assistant equipment manager after spending last six years as a student/graduate assistant in Facilities and Operations.

In his new role, he will help oversee and coordinate all of the equipment needs for the Dolphins programs. Owens will also continue to assist the operations side as well.

Owens has spent the last six years helping the Dolphins staff with event management to all athletic games. As a student assistant, his roles varied from setting up events, maintaining athletic facilities, serving as a game administrator and escorting teams or officials.

Prior to his senior year, Owens worked as an equipment intern during the early part of the 2009 training camp for the Jacksonville Jaguars. He participated in all areas of the equipment staff, including distributing all game and practice apparel to all coaches and players, maintaining player equipment and providing assistance to coaches during practice drills.

The Indialantic, Florida native graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sports administration in the spring of 2010 and secured his master's in the same subject from JU in May 2012.
