Owens, a 2010 graduate of JU, has spent the last four years helping the Dolphins staff with event management to all athletic games. As a student assistant, his roles varied from setting up events, maintaining athletic facilities, serving as a game administrator and escorting teams or officials. Prior to his senior year, Owens worked as an equipment intern during the early part of the 2009 training camp for the Jacksonville Jaguars. He participated in all areas of the equipment staff, including distributing all game and practice apparel to all coaches and players, maintaining player equipment and providing assistance to coaches during practice drills. Owens was also chosen during his senior year to attend Kyrgyzstan Delegation Luncheon on campus discussing emerging trends in facilities and operations throughout the sports realm. The Indialantic, Florida native graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sports administration in the spring of 2010 and is currently working on his master’s at JU.
