Alex Keil begins his first year at Jacksonville University in 2013, serving as the primary contact for the sports of women's soccer, men's basketball and men's lacrosse.
Prior to coming to JU, Keil spent two years at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was the contact for nine of Penn's 33 varsity sports. He also had game-day duties with the Quaker football and basketball programs, as well as assisting with the historic Penn Relays.
Before arriving at Penn, Keil spent the 2010-11 academic year as the Media Relations Assistant with the Mid-American Conference in Cleveland, Ohio. That year, he was the conference-wide contact for over half of the league's sports, including men's soccer during the season that the University of Akron won the national title. His introduction to Division I athletics came in 2009-10 with Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
While with the MAC, he was the on-site media coordinator for numerous league championships. He was also a volunteer at the NCAA Men's Basketball Second and Third Round site in Cleveland in 2011, the NCAA Men's Lacrosse quarterfinals at Philadelphia's PPL Park in 2012, and the NCAA Women's Lacrosse Final Four at Villanova University in 2013.
A native of Iowa, Keil graduated from St. Ambrose University in 2007.
