Bennett started at JU last year as an intern with volleyball before getting promoted in the winter prior to taking over for softball.
Prior to JU, she was the head athletic trainer at Tallahassee’s John Paul II Catholic High School from 2007-2011. Along with her normal duties of care and prevention, Bennett maintained the records of student-athletes forms, organized and participated in practice and game day operations and supervised student trainers. She also served as a physical education teacher during the final two years.
Before joining John Paul II Catholic, Bennett was a student trainer with her alma mater, Florida State University, from 2004-07. During her tenure, she worked with the Seminoles’ volleyball, women’s soccer, football, swimming & diving, track & field and women’s golf squads.
Bennett is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, Southeast Athletic Trainers Association and Athletic Trainers Association of Florida. She is certified with the American Heart Association CPR & Heartsaver AED, the National Athletic Trainers Association Board and Florida State Athletic Training.
Bennett earned her bachelors’ degree in athletic training/sports medicine from Florida State in 2007.
