Last season, former guard Jade Cargill flourished in her second season in the post area. She finished her sophomore season first field-goal percentage (.389) and rebounds (8.3), while ranking second in steals (57) and free-throws made (68). She was also third in scoring with a 9.8 average after recording eight double-doubles. Cargill’s steals and total rebound (257) marks ranked fifth on the JU single-season lists.

In 2010-11, the Dolphins broke the school mark in rebounds for the fifth straight season with 1,337 boards and finished third in the A-Sun in blocks with 125.

Senior forward Taneskei Richardson flourished in her third and final year with the Dolphins by leading the team in scoring (11.1), field goal percentage (.460), rebounds (9.8) and blocks (43). She also broke the single-season rebounds record with a total of 315, while placing fifth on the blocks list.

Richardson had 14 double-doubles during the year, recording the feat 10 times in the final 17 contests. She tallied her best double-double at FGCU (2/24) after posting a career-high 21 points and 18 rebounds. The overall boards total ranked as the second highest single-game total of all-time, while her 13 offensive boards during the contest was a new single-game record.

In the career standings, Richardson finished with 15 double-doubles to rank third all-time, while placing fifth in field goal percentage (.445) and rebounds (572).

Senior Lynsey Paschal rounded out her career by finishing with the most games played all-time (124) and placing sixth in career rebounds (558). She also had 232 rebounds in 2010-11 to place fifth on the single-season list.

In 2009-10, the Dolphins finished first in the A-Sun with 140 blocks after recording four or more blocks in 19 contests, including 12 of the last 15 games. The Dolphins also set a new school record in rebounds with 1,289 boards.

Boggess helped senior forwards Desarae Johnson and Crystal Grable each produce quality seasons to have their names etched in the JU record books. Johnson produced 35 blocks to finish second all-time in blocks with 127. She also took fifth in the career books in rebounds (524) and fielding percentage (.414). Grable had a block in nine of her final 10 games to take the third spot all-time with 94 rejections.

Paschal and Richardson also produced strong numbers under Boggess’ tutelage. Paschal hit double figures in scoring on five occasions and recorded two double-double efforts. She also had 17 rebounds against Florida Tech, which is the third highest single-game total in the program records. Richardson recorded five or more boards in nine of 10 games (1/7-2/11) to finished third on the team in rebounds (141). She also had a season-high 10 rebounds and 11 points against FGCU (1/9) for her first career double-double as a Dolphin.

Boggess was instrumental in helping Johnson and Grable during the 2008-09 season. Johnson had a career-best 134 rebounds and 53 blocks to pace the Dolphins. Her blocks total also ranked third on the single-season list, while Grable had the fifth highest single-season total in blocks with 41.

Prior to making her way to the First Coast, Boggess spent the past two seasons at Hofstra where she assisted in all aspects of the program, including working with the Pride guards and serving as the recruiting coordinator.

With the Pride, Boggess helped lead the squad to the Colonia Athletic Association tournament each season, including a school-best 26-8 overall record and a spot in the WNIT Quarterfinals in 2006-07. Under her guidance, senior guard Cigi McCollin (second team) and freshman guard Sam Brigham (rookie team) earned conference honors that season.

Boggess joined the Hofstra staff after spending two years as an assistant coach and one year as a graduate assistant at Kennesaw State. During her time with the Owls, she worked with perimeter players, while organizing practice planning, scouting, film breakdown, equipment, budgeting and booster club fundraising. She also assisted in all areas of recruiting and served as individual summer camp director and as assistant director of KSU’s team camp.

Boggess also served as the shooting instructor and the assistant camp director of the Sports City U Basketball Academy in Teals Valley, W.Va. from 1999 through 2005 where she worked with former NBA shooting instructor Jim Clayton. In 2003, Boggess spent time as head coach of the AAU 15-under Piedmont Pride in Piedmont, N.C.

As a student-athlete, Boggess was a four-year starter at Wingate where she averaged 10 points, five rebounds and slightly five assists per game in her career. She was named to the South Atlantic Conference all-rookie team as a freshman and helped lead Wingate to the NCAA Division II Tournament as a sophomore in 2001. Boggess received the Wingate coaches award after her senior season.

A success in the classroom as well as the court, Boggess was named to the conference honor roll in each of her four seasons before receiving her bachelor’s degree in communications with an emphasis in broadcast journalism in 2003.

Boggess was a columnist for the student newspaper, a feature reporter for WUTV and the host of the Bulldog Sports Television Show while at Wingate. In addition, she was a founding member of the Iota Zeta chapter of Alpha Xi Delta, recognized as a member of Who's Who Among American Colleges and Universities for her academic achievements and was Wingate's Homecoming Queen in 2003.

Active in the community, Boggess has been a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, Bulldog Helping Hands and Choose Children.
