Baseball set to play Green & Gold Fall World Series this week
For those who can’t wait for the start of baseball season, take advantage of the opportunity to see the 2010 JU baseball team as the Dolphins play their 21th annual Green & Gold Fall World Series beginning on Thursday at 7 p.m. at John Sessions Stadium.

After a draft conducted by team coaches, the split-squad exhibition will begin on Thursday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m. Game two of the series will be on Friday, Nov. 20, at 7 p.m. and the final game is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 21, at 3 p.m. Regardless of the outcome of the series, each contest will be played.

Senior second baseman Chuck Opachich will lead the Green squad while senior first baseman Alex Martinez directs the Gold team.

“After a good fall, we are excited to be able to take a step back as coaches and watch our team compete from the stands,” said JU head coach Terry Alexander. “We have a number of new faces that have really performed well. Mix in the experience of our returners from last year’s championship team and the 2010 season has us all quietly optimistic.”
