Baseball hosts annual Alumni game Saturday at 11 a.m.
The 2012 JU baseball team will get its first action of the fall Saturday with the annual alumni game in John Sessions Stadium at 11 a.m.

The event has continued to grow over the last three seasons and will pit several former JU greats against the current edition of the Dolphins’ program. The game will run seven innings to determine this year’s winner with the Alumni scrimmaging against one another for the remainder of the afternoon.

“This is something I look forward to each year,” JU head coach Terry Alexander said. “It’s great having the old players to come back to see the stadium and check out the new team. With so many guys coming back, the alumni game has been quite completive and fun for everyone involved.”

The Alumni squad has given the young Dolphins fits the last three seasons by getting a 2-2 tie in 2009 and taking a 2-1 loss in 2010. The 2011 Dolphins made sure the old timers didn’t have a chance with a 10-1 win last season.

All friends, family and spectators are welcome to the event to get the first glimpse of the 2012 squad.
