Baseball begins Fall Green/Gold World Series Wednesday
A chance for the fans to see the 2012 JU baseball team in action starts Wednesday with the annual three-game Green/Gold World Series at John Sessions Stadium.

First pitch for game one of the split-squad exhibition is set for 5:30 p.m., while game two is slated 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The series will conclude on Saturday at 1 p.m. Regardless of the outcome of the series each contest will be played.

“We are excited to see the guys compete in game situations,” JU head coach Terry Alexander said. “It has been a good fall and we want see how the guys have developed. Overall, our goal is to continue to build a good framework leading into the 2012 season.

Following the draft by the coaches on Monday night, seniors Jonathan Murphy and Sean Green will lead the Green squad while seniors Steve Eagerton and Kevin Lehane direct the Gold team. Fans can see the full roster by clicking the link.
