Trailing 2-0 in the top of the second, the Dolphins had a runner on first with two outs before the rains suspended the JU baseball team’s contest at ETSU, Friday evening in game two at Cardinal Park.

JU (21-10, 10-6) and ETSU (14-16, 6-10) will continue the game at 1 p.m. on Saturday before concluding the series with a doubleheader.

In the top of the first, junior second baseman Chuck Opachich extended his career-best hitting streak to 23 games with a single through the left side.

The Bucs took a 2-0 lead in the first when Troy Mendez hit an RBI triple to center and Paul Hoilman drove in a run with a bloop single to right.

Both contests can be followed through GameTracker and ETSU Radio Network by logging onto JUDolphins.com.
