Coming off a 10-game home stand the Dolphins hit the road for a mid-week contest at the College of Charleston on Tuesday night.
Jacksonville is coming off a weekend series against #17 Indiana in which a 4-3 win on Friday night by the Dolphins gave the club its second victory over a top 20 team this season.
LHP Parker Perez will get the start for Jacksonville on Tuesday against the Cougars. Perez, who also started the game against #5 Florida State owns a 6.17 ERA in 11.2 innings over five appearances this season. Charleston is countering with RHP Tyler Thornton. Thornton is 0-1 this season with a 7.84 ERA in five appearances over 10.1 innings.
At the plate Connor Marabell hit .667 (6-for-9) last week with a triple and a home run. He leads the team with a .383 average and is tied with Scott Schaub with a team high eight RBI. After missing the first part of the year to injury, Schaub has been swinging the hot bat as well. In six games this season he has eight RBI and is bating .500 (9-for-18)
Charleston enters the mid-week set at 12-3 on the season. Ranked as high as No. 29 last week, the Cougars took two of three in a series against The Citadel that ended on Monday.
