Baseball Cancels Two-Game Series vs. MEAC Champion

May 11, 2005

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville University baseball team has cancelled this week's two-game series against the MEAC Champion at Alexander Brest Field due to a scheduling conflict with conference tournament winner North Carolina A&T. The series, which was scheduled for Thursday and Saturday, has been represented in the past by MEAC perennial power Bethune-Cookman.

The Dolphins attempted to schedule another series in wake of the decision by North Carolina A&T, but no opponents were available due to regional programs competing in their respective conference games this weekend.

JU will complete a four-game season series against No. 11 Florida State at Mike Martin Field on Tuesday, May 17 at 6 p.m. The contest can be heard live on ESPN 1460 with Cole Pepper calling all the action.
