Nov. 1, 2005

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The JU baseball team will get a glimpse of what to expect in the 2006 season as the Dolphins begin the 17th annual Green & Black Fall World Series this week at Alexander Brest Field.

After a draft conducted by senior RHP Eric Murdock (Green) and senior LHP Kyle DeVries (Black) on Tuesday evening, the split-squad exhibition will begin on Thursday, Nov. 3, at 6 p.m. Game two of the series will be on Friday, Nov. 4, at 6 p.m. and the final game is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 5, at noon. Regardless of the outcome of the series, each contest will be played.

"This is a great opportunity for the guys to show the progress that they have made through the fall in an extremely competitive environment," said JU head coach Terry Alexander. "As coaches, we look forward to seeing the team compete and finding out who emerges as an early leader on the squad."
