AS A JUNIOR (2010): Appeared in team-high 24 games, including three starts...named second team all-A-Sun after ranking second in the conference in ERA (2.38) and third in saves (7)...ranked second on the staff with five wins and 56 strikeouts...third with 68 innings pitched...set a career high with seven innings pitched in a no-decision against UNC-Wilmington (2/21)...tied career mark with seven innings of relief vs. FGCU (3/15)......named A-Sun “Pitcher of the Week” on March 1...struck out a career-best five batters on three occasions...did not allow a run in 10 relief appearances, including a save over No. 20 Oklahoma...staff best .222 batting average against right-handed hitters and .194 average with runners on base...in three starts, he went 0-1 with a 1.42 ERA and 12 strikeouts in 19 innings...named to the A-Sun preseason all-conference team as a relief pitcher. AS A SOPHOMORE (2009): Appeared in a team-high tying 25 games as a reliever...named second team all-A-Sun after leading the conference with eight saves...led the squad with a team-low 2.70 ERA, a 5-1 record and a 7-to-1 strikeout to walk ratio...led all relievers with 33.1 innings and 33 strikeouts while walking only five batters...did not allow a run in 19-of-25 appearances...did not allow a hit and went at least two innings in six appearances...logged a season-high 2.1 innings in three games...struck out a season-high five batters and earned the win after hurling 2.1 innings of scoreless relief against Bethune-Cookman in the Gainesville Regional (5/30). PRIOR TO JU: Played one season as a pitcher for at Weatherford Junior College under Jeff Lightfoot...helped lead the Coyotes to a 35-17 overall record and a spot in the regional tournament...finished the year 6-0 with a 3.86 ERA, four saves and 54 strikeouts. HIGH SCHOOL: Two-year starter a utility player for Mike Tosch at Foster High School…as a senior, he was earned Fort Bend Herald first team, second team all-district honors after posting a 1.83 ERA with 64 strikeouts while batting .275 at the plate...also named to the Houston Area Baseball Coaches 4A All-Start Team...as a junior, he finished with a 2.20 ERA and 19 strikeouts while batting .299 at the plate...spent his first two season on the JV team and hurled a no-hitter in his final appearance as a freshman.
