AS A REDSHIRT-FRESHMAN (2011): Appeared in 21 games, including eight starts as a freshman … hit a three-run homer at Mercer (4/9) … recorded double vs. Evansville (3/8) and at UNC-Wilmington (2/18) … made seven appearances on the hill, going 2-0 with nine strikeouts in 7.1 innings … earned both wins within a six-day span … pitched 1.2 innings to get victory against Stetson (5/27) in A-Sun Tournament … struck out four in two scoreless frames at Kennesaw State (5/21)…also had a scoreless inning against Stetson (4/22) … during the summer, he played for the Allegany County Nitros in the New York Collegiate Baseball League.

AS A FRESHMAN (2010): Sat out the year as a medical redshirt after suffering a hand injury prior to the start of the season.

HIGH SCHOOL: Four-year starter as a third baseman for Derek Smith at Trinity Christian Academy High School … as a senior, he batted .400 with seven home runs...as a junior, he earned all-conference and was named an Under Armour All-America after batting .386 with four home runs … teammates with current Dolphin Tyler Hooten … named to the Dean’s List all four years … in AAU play, he was a member of the North Florida Hurricanes squad which went 48-6 and won the Blue-Grey Tournament title in 2008.
