HIGH SCHOOL: Three-year starter as a catcher for Bob Heinkel at Milwaukee Lutheran High School…as a senior, he was named all-state, all-area and all-conference … as a junior, he earned all-state, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel All-Area and first team all-conference after batting a school-record .569 (33-58) with eight home runs and a 1.121 slugging percentage … also played in the Brewer Classic at Miller Park that same season … as a sophomore, he batted .280 … also a two-year starter and all-conference player in football (QB) and basketball (F) … named to the honor roll all four years … in AAU play, he was a member of the Kenosha Bobcats … batted .644 (47-73) with a 1.046 slugging percentage in 2008 … in 2009, he was invited to the Powerhouse Showcase Home Run Derby at Tropicana Field.
PERSONAL: Born Oct. 18, 1991, in Milwaukee, Wis … son of Adam and Glynis … mother, Glynis, was a national champion high jumper and played volleyball at Carthage College from 1980-84 … father, Adam, competed in football and track at Carthage College from 1981-85 before playing for the Minnesota Vikings as a running back in 1987 … major is sports administration.
