High School: Two-year starter as a pitcher/first baseman for Steve Stuart at Terry Parker High School…as a senior, he went 9-1 with a 0.93 ERA...as as junior, he missed the first half of the season with a back injury until returning to finish with a 1.80 ERA in 18 innings...as a sophomore, he tallied a 2.15 ERA in 14 innings...in AAU play, he was a member of the North Florida Hurricanes with currnet Dolphins Jimmy Appleby and Tyler Hooten.
