High School: Four-year letterwinner as a catcher for Greg Butler at Don Bosco Prep High School…in three years as a starter, he helped the squad to a combined 88-25 record and a national ranking...as a senior, he batted .450 with 22 RBI while throwing out 85 percent on base runners to earn second team all-county honors...as a junior, he helped the team to a perfect 33-0 record, a state title and a number one ranking in the nation...batted .350 with 19 RBI and threw out 60 percent of baserunners...as a sophomore, he finished .300 at the plate...named to the honor roll as a senior...in AAU play, he batted .300 with the South Florida Bandits and finished .375 with 21 RBI with the World Yacht Clippers.
Personal: Born March 4, 1991, in Goshen, N.Y…son of John and Angela…has a brother, Daniel…uncle, Brian Gaine, played football at Maine as a tight end (1991-95) and is currently the assistant director of player personnel for the Miami Dolphins...uncle, David Menapace, played football and baseball at Cornell from 1982-83...major is psychology.
