As a freshman (2008): Appeared in 38 games, including 29 starts (25 at third base, four at shortstop)...led the squad with a .478 average (11-23) with two outs and tied for third with five sacrifice bunts...in his first collegiate start, he tallied a hit, drove in a run and stole a base against No. 25 UCF (3/5)...went a season-high 3-for-4 with an RBI against FIU (3/12)...at North Florida, he tallied his first double (5/2) and drove in a season-high two RBI (5/3) to finish the series 6-for-15 (.400) against North Florida...tallied a double in three straight games at North Florida...went 2-for-3 with a double against Kennesaw State (5/15).
High School: Three-year starter as a shortstop for David Stephenson at Sprayberry High School…as a senior, he led the Yellow Jackets to a No. 2 ranking in the state and earned first team all-state, all-conference and team MVP after leading the county in hits…batted .440 with 40 runs, three home runs, 22 RBI, a .520 on-base percentage while finishing with a .998 fielding percentage…started the season with a 15-game hitting streak…as a junior, he was named second team all-county and team defensive MVP after hitting .390 with 29 runs, 10 stolen bases, a .530 on-base percentage and a .995 fielding percentage…as a sophomore, he batted .320 with seven stolen bases, a .490 on-base percentage and a .975 fielding percentage…in AAU play, he helped lead the East Cobb Astros to three national championships with future first-round pick Cody Johnson…batted .401 with 61 hits, 29 RBI, a .508 on-base percentage, 17 stolen bases and a .993 fielding percentage…also batted 11-for-17 in the AAU National Tournament and was named Defensive “Player of the Year”…also a two-year starter in basketball as a point guard.
