Named to the A-Sun preseason all-conference team as a starting pitcher...one of three players to receive a unanimous vote.
As a sophomore (2009): Appeared in 18 games, including 10 starts on the mound...earned second team all-A-Sun honors after ranking second in the conference in hits allowed, third in runs allowed and fifth in opponent batting average...ranked nationally in strikeouts (59th, 91) and strikeouts per nine innings (43rd, 10.24)...began the year in the bullpen until injuries forced him into the weekend rotation...as a reliever, he went 1-0 with a 2.14 ERA, two saves and 27 strikeouts in 21 innings...hurled two innings of shutout relief against No. 6 Florida State (3/3)...threw two innings of shutout relief vs. Stetson (3/15)...earned a win by hurling 2.1 shutout innings against Lipscomb in the A-Sun Tournament...struck out seven batters in four innings of relief against No. 25 Michigan (2/28)...as a starter, he went 3-1 with a 4.88 ERA, a .231 opponent batting average and 64 strikeouts in 59 innings...notched a win in his first start with 7.1 innings and seven strikeouts at FGCU (3/20)...struck out at least seven batters in his first five starts, including a career-best 10 at ETSU (4/9) and vs. Campbell (4/17)...also logged a career-best eight innings while allowing only one run against Campbell...allowed a .204 (38-186) average against right handed batters.
As a freshman (2008): Appeared in 22 games, including two starts on the mound, in his first season with the program...earned A-Sun all-freshman team honors..led the staff in ERA (3.52), opponent batting average (.235) and a .192 average (19-99) against right-handed batters...also ranked second on the squad with four wins, 22 appearances and two saves...finished with a 4-0 record, two saves and a 3.28 ERA as a reliever...against Mercer, he made two appearances which included 4.1 innings of scoreless relief with a season-high seven strikeouts in game one (4/4) and one inning of scoreless relief for his first collegiate save in game three (4/6)...did not allow a run in 11-of-19 relief appearances...hurled 8.2 scoreless inning of relief from 3/28-4/6...finished 0-2 with a 4.15 ERA but held opponents to a .176 batting average as a starter...went a season-high 5.1 innings in his first collegiate start at Campbell (4/11).
High School: Four-year starter and team captain as a pitcher, third baseman and shortstop for Mike Pienkos at Chaminade High School…led the Flyers to a combined 73-10 record, including a district title his final season…as a senior, he was named Long Island “Player of the Year” and “Pitcher of the Year” and all-area after leading the league with 9-0 record, 0.61 ERA and strikeouts…as a junior, he earned all-league accolades hurling a 0.47 ERA on the mound while hitting .340 with four home runs from the plate…as a sophomore, he went 8-0 with a 1.12 ERA while batting .540 with six home runs…as a freshman, he finished 7-0 with a 0.80 ERA and a .310 batting average…in AAU play, he played three years with a the Long Island Titans and led the squad to a third place finish in the national tournament in 2005 before earning all-Titan team honors in 2007…also a four-year starter as a wide receiver and free safety in football.
