AS A JUNIOR (2010): Appeared in three games, including one start, before earning a medical redshirt due to a shoulder injury … got a no-decision in his lone start against Valparaiso (2/28)...also made relief appearances against James Madison (3/7) and at USF (3/10) … earned A-Sun Academic All-Conference honors.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2009): Made 15 appearances, including nine starts on the mound...missed the first 13 games of the season due to a shoulder injury … ended the season as part of the weekend rotation … ranked third on the squad with 57 innings … as a starter, he went 3-3 with a 4.25 ERA in 48.2 innings … notched first win after allowing only two hits in six shutout innings at ETSU (4/11) … did not allow an earned run in starts at Florida International (3/21) and No. 17 Miami in the Gainesville Regional (5/31) … struck out a season-high six batters against the Hurricanes...also struck out five batters in four other starts … logged career-high seven innings vs. Lipscomb (4/25) … as a reliever, he went 0-0 with a 5.40 ERA in 8.1 innings … hurled scoreless innings of relief in appearances against Florida A&M (3/11), Florida Gulf Coast (3/21), Belmont (4/4) and Lipscomb (5/23) … logged season-high two innings of relief on three occasions … earned A-Sun Academic All-Conference honors.
AS A FRESHMAN (2008): Made 17 appearances, including eight starts on the mound, in his first year with the program … ranked third on the staff with 41 strikeouts and fourth with 47 innings … hurled two innings of one hit relief against UNC-Wilmington (2/24) … earned his first win with three innings of relief at Gardner-Webb (2/29) … did not allow and earned run while striking out three in two innings of relief at USC Upstate (3/29) … in his first collegiate start, he struck out a season-high seven batters in five innings at No. 25 UCF … went a season-high 6.2 innings at Dallas Baptist (5/10) … struck out four in six innings against No. 2 Florida State … earned A-Sun Academic All-Conference honors.
HIGH SCHOOL: Three-year letter winner as a pitcher for Jack Campbell at Chesterton High School … as a senior, he was named team MVP after going 9-2 with a 0.60 ERA … as a junior, he went 6-3 with a 2.00 ERA on the hill … as a sophomore, he saw spot action on the mound with the varsity squad … in AAU play, he finished 9-0 with a 1.80 ERA with the Lake Michigan Breakers … drafted by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in the 42nd round of the MLB Draft.
