HIGH SCHOOL: Four-year starter as an outfielder for David Kolander at Fox Valley Lutheran High School ... finished career with 126 hits and 22 home runs ... as a senior, he earned first team all-state, all-area, all-conference and was named Eastern Valley Conference “Player of the Year” after batting .570 with 10 home runs, 36 RBI, a 1.234 slugging percentage and a .681 on-base percentage ... as as junior, he earned first team all conference, all-area and all-state honors after batting .514 with 37 runs, 11 doubles, six home runs, a .614 on-base percentage and a .986 slugging percentage ... as a sophomore, he helped the Foxes to a sectional and regional title as well as a spot in the state tournament ... earned first team all-conference, all-area and honorable mention all-state accolades after batting .431 with 32 runs five home runs a .553 on-base percentage and an .806 slugging percentage ... as a freshman, he was named second team all-conference after batting .426 with a .556 on-base percentage and a .704 slugging percentage...was also a three-year starter for the football team as a running back/defensive back ... earned highest honors for eight semesters, member of the National Honors Society and was a Rotary Club Outstanding Student-Athlete.
