As a sophomore (2008): Emerged as one of the squad’s top starters in his first full season...appeared in 18 games, including 11 starts...tied for the team lead with five wins and led the squad with 60 strikeouts...posted the best opponent hitting percentage (.272) and allowed the fewest home runs (two) amongst starters...second on the team with 70.1 innings...scattered three hits and struck out five in six shutout innings at Gardner-Webb (3/1)...tied career high with seven shutout innings against ETSU (3/21)...stuck out a career-high seven batters at USC Upstate (3/28) and vs. Stetson (4/26)...struck out at least five batters in six of 11 starts...notched his first collegiate save after hurling two shutout innings at Dallas Baptist (5/10)...hurled 8.1 scoreless inning of relief in which he scattered four hits and struck out 11 (4/9-15)...struck out a season-high five batters in 3.2 innings of relief at Bethune-Cookman (4/15)...over the summer, he led the Santa Barbara Foresters to 2008 National Baseball Congress World Series title under Bill Pintard...went 4-0 with a 0.77 ERA while striking out 45 batters in 47 innings en route to California Collegiate League “Pitcher of the Year” honors.

As a freshman (2007): Had a slow start to the year after recovering from Tommy John surgery but developed into a valuable member of the weekend rotation by season’s end…made 16 appearances, including nine starts…named to the A-Sun all-tournament team after hurling seven shutout innings while scattering three hits with five strikeouts against Gardner-Webb (5/25)…ranked third among Dolphin pitchers with a 3.65 ERA…did not allow a run in 12 consecutive innings leading up to the NCAA Regional…notched a season-best four innings of relief in collecting his first collegiate win at South Alabama (2/24)…struck out a season-high six batters in back-to-back starts (vs. UConn – 3/9, at Belmont – 3/17)…summer league play, he was a member of the Alaska Goldpanners of Fairbanks in the Alaska Baseball League...went 2-0 with a 2.65 ERA, two saves and 11 strikeouts in 19.2 innings.

High School: Four-year starter at Episcopal High School as a pitcher for Mike Jones…as a senior, he missed the majority of the season due to Tommy John surgery but helped lead the Eagles to a 3A state championship…was invited to the West Coast Area Code Game but could not play due to injury…as a junior, he was named team MVP after leading the squad with a 1.82 ERA and 72 strikeouts in 61.1 innings…set a school record with 16 strikeouts against Clay High School…as a sophomore, he finished with a 2.53 ERA and 31 strikeouts in 38.2 innings…as a freshman, he tallied a 2.76 ERA with 22 strikeouts in 32 innings…also played one year of football as a quarterback and linebacker...teammates with current Dolphin Chuck Opachich.
