As a junior (2009): Appeared in 14 games, including six starts...part of the weekend rotation to begin the year before moving to the bullpen...as a starter, he went 3-1 with a 5.83 ERA in 29.1 innings...earned his first win of the year after allowing two runs in six innings against UNF (3/8)...struck out a season-high five batters in no-decision at Florida Gulf Coast (3/22)...out of the bullpen, he hurled two scoreless relief innings against Lipscomb (4/26)...help preserve a win at Kennesaw State with 2.1 solid innings (5/1)...allowed only one hit in 1.2 innings of scoreless relief at No. 11 Florida (5/12)...did not allow an earned run in one inning against Dallas Baptist (5/16).

High School: Four-year starter at Flanagan High School as a pitcher, infielder and outfielder for Ray Evans…as a senior, he earned first team all-state honors and was named first team all-Broward by the Miami Herald after going 14-0 with a 1.79 ERA to lead the Falcons to a second-consecutive state title…as a junior, he was named first team all-state, all-county and team MVP after posting a 12-0 record with a 0.92 ERA to lead the Falcons to a 25-6 record and a state title…as a sophomore, he earned all-county honorable mention honors and team Cy Young accolades after leading the squad to a 21-9 record with an 8-2 mark on the mound…as a freshman, he earned team "Rookie of the Year" honors as a second baseman after leading the squad to a 22-9 record…earned scholar-athlete accolades each season.
