Andy McLeod begins his seventh season at JU as offensive line coach and his third as recruiting coordinator.

Since coming to JU, he has developed the offensive lines that paved the way for three of the school’s all-time rushing leaders. McLeod’s offensive line opened holes for the third 1,000-yard rushing season in JU history in 2008 as well as the most prolific offense in the program’s history.

As the offensive coordinator from 2003-06, McLeod directed the JU offense to several school records. In 2006, running back Jerry Brant set the school record for rushing yards and became just the third player in school history to rush for more than 1,000 yards in a season.

He was crucial in the development of quarterback Chris Horton - who eventually broke the school record for career yards in 2008. In his role as recruiting coordinator, McLeod has directed the Dolphins efforts in bringing in some of the most talented classes in the program’s history – which has directly led to JU’s rise to the top of the Pioneer Football League.

McLeod came to JU after four seasons at Gannon (Pa.) University, a year at St. Joseph’s (Ind.) College and at his alma mater Western Kentucky.

McLeod was a four-year letterwinner at Western Kentucky from 1993-96, racking up 22 wins during his career. The Elkhorn, Neb., native and his wife, Keely, have a son, Brody, and a daughter, Hadley.
