Kerry Webb returns for his third season in charge of the Dolphin running backs, one of the most talented positions on the field.

During his first two seasons, Webb helped developed the running game into a major weapon for the JU offense, helping Rudell Small become the third running back in school history to rush for more than 1,000 yards in a season.

Small already owns the school record for most career rushing touchdowns and most points scored in just two season, entering his junior campaign just over 500 yards from becoming the all-time leader in yards.

He also helped establish J.J. Laster as the number two back late last season, finishing the year 249 yards rushing in the final seven games.

Prior to JU, Webb spent two seasons at Valdosta State under now-Georgia Southern head coach Chris Hatcher. While at VSU, Webb coached cornerbacks, served as head coach of the junior varsity team and handled scouting the opponent’s offense. He also was committed to success in the classroom, receiving his master’s degree from Valdosta State.

A graduate of the University of Florida, Webb worked as a video coordinator for the football program during his college days - breaking down the film from both games and practices.

A native of DeFuniak Springs, Fla., Webb lives in Jacksonville and is single.
