JU broadcasts to air on 1010XL for the next three years
For the next three years, JU fans won’t have to change their station settings to follow the Dolphins as all of the Dolphins broadcasts will be on 1010XL.
Over the past two years, JU has broadcast more than 90 games on 1010XL – including the Dolphins run to the Pioneer Football League championships, the men’s basketball team’s Atlantic Sun Conference title and the baseball team’s victory in the A-Sun Tournament.
“We’re excited about extending our partnership for the next three years as the people at 1010XL are some of the best in the business,” said JU director of athletics Alan Verlander. “We have a great relationship with 1010 and look forward to it growing more in the coming years.”
The leading sports-talk station in Jacksonville, 1010XL has a 50,000-watt signal – the strongest of any sports-talk station in the city of Jacksonville, producing the highest ratings among the sports talk stations in town. 1010XL features a lineup of the most knowledgeable and well-connected sports talk personalities on the First Coast.
“Our partnership with JU has been a win-win situation for us the past two years and we’re more than happy to continue that for another three years,” said 1010XL general manager Steve Griffin. “The success of the athletics department this past year was amazing and we look forward to covering the Dolphins in the future.”
