Dolphins get ready for two-a-days
The JU football team was fully suited on Tuesday as the Dolphins got their first practice in full pads in preparation for their first two-a-day practices on Wednesday.

Jacksonville got more than two hours of work in the afternoon, with a lot of live action late in the practice.

“We’re seeing some good things out there and the energy definitely went up a notch today,” said JU head coach Kerwin Bell. “It was good to see the guys in full pads today and step up when we did some live drills.”

One of the areas that has impressed thus far in camp has been the young defensive line.

“We’ve got a lot of young guys that have great size and speed,” Bell said. “They are young and make a few mistakes, but they are getting better each day. Our returning guys have been pushed by the new guys and we’re seeing improvement from everyone.”
