McGregor, Philpart picked as CFPA top performers nationally last week
JU quarterback Josh McGregor and wide receiver Josh Philpart were named among the top performers of the week at their position nationally by the College Football Performance Awards.

McGregor completed 24-of-34 passes for 311 yards, with three touchdowns – two of those to Philpart, who caught six passes for 115 yards.

“These two guys made some big plays that got us some momentum and the rest of the team followed their lead,” said JU head coach Kerwin Bell. “Josh (McGregor) really got on a roll in the second half as we were able to give him a little more time to make his reads and get a good throw.

“Philpart just found a way to make plays. He kept working hard and found a way to break away from the defenders to get open.”
