JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A school record 719 yards of total offense and a Milne Field record 69 points by the Jacksonville University football team did not go unnoticed as Orlando Thomas (Ocoee, Fla.) and Adrian Riley (Ocoee, Fla.) were honored for their performances.

Riley was named the Pioneer Football League & Special Teams Player of the Week and the College Football Performance Awards National Punt Return of the Week. The senior wideout had a 75-yard punt return for a touchdown to start the third quarter in Jacksonville’s 69-19 PFL victory against Morehead State. He averaged 23.8 yards on four returns. Riley also had a 15-yard return in the fourth quarter that set Jacksonville up at the Morehead State 32-yard line and an eventual touchdown. Offensively, he tacked on two catches for 17 yards and a touchdown to finish with 112 all-purpose yards.

Named the Pioneer Football League & the College Sports Madness Offensive Player of the Week for his breakout performance, Thomas had two touchdown carries as part of Jacksonville’s 69-19 PFL victory against Jacksonville, Saturday. He had an 84-yard touchdown sprint – the second longest run in the FCS this season – in the second quarter to break the game open, 24-10.  Thomas would add a 22-yard touchdown run in the fourth-quarter.
