Dolphins Dominate Austin Peay, 38-7

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Brent Alexander rushed for 123 yards and one touchdown to lead Jacksonville to a 38-7 win over Austin Peay on Saturday.

Jacksonville (4-0) gained 309 yards on 63 rushes, keeping the ball for more than 37 minutes of the game. The Dolphins opened the second half with an 80-yard drive that took nearly eight minutes off the clock. Scott Brickley scored on a 1-yard touchdown run to put his team up 35-0.

Austin Peay (1-3) could only manage 81-yards and three first downs in the first half. Brian Baker threw a 61-yard touchdown pass to Mike Farrell with 5:03 remaining in the third quarter for the Governors' first score.

Austin Peay's Baker completed 14 of 26 passes for 213 yards. Baker, however, threw three interceptions, one of which Tyrone Wright ran back 42 yards for a Jacksonville score.
