Dolphins Fall To FAU, 35-12

MIAMI (AP) - Doug Parker ran for four touchdowns as Florida Atlantic defeated Jacksonville 35-12 Saturday at Pro Player Stadium.
Parker gained 110 yards on 22 carries to lead FAU. The team finished with 248 yards total offense. FAU quarterback Jared Allen also threw for a touchdown, a 26-yard pass to Thomas Parker. The victory by FAU (3-2) gives the team its third win in four games.
The FAU defense limited Jacksonville (4-2) running back Brent Alexander to 16 yards on 36 carries. Alexander had rushed for over 100 yards in each of his last four games.
The Dolphin passing game was held to 58 yards. Jacksonville's only touchdown came in the fourth quarter. Punting from its 48-yard line, FAU center Chris Munoz snapped the ball over the head of punter Andy Rosas.
The Dolphins' Russell Cheatman scooped up the errant ball in the end zone for a touchdown to make the score 28-12. FAU returned the favor on Jacksonville's next possession when they smothered punter Brett Keener on a punt attempt.
The Owls got the ball on the 1-yard line to set up Doug Parker's fourth touchdown of the game. The Owls scored on the game's opening drive. Moving 72 yards on 11 plays, the drive was capped by a 1-yard touchdown run by Doug Parker for a 7-0 lead.
