America's Youth
The Austin Peay game marks the Dolphins' fourth season to celebrate "Take a Kid To The Game Day". JU is one of more than 150 schools across the nation that are participating in this campaign focused on attracting more of the nation's youths to college games. The "Take a Kid to the Game" program is entering its eighth year in the promotion of NCAA Athletics.

From The Beginning
Austin Peay is one of the Dolphins' top-two rivals. The Governors are one of just two teams JU has played in each of its first five seasons (Davidson). The Dolphins lead the all-time series, 3-1, and have won the last three contests, including last year's 38-7 victory which clinched the Pioneer Football League South Division title for JU. Austin Peay and JU are also just two of three Division I schools which have a head basketball coach, who also serves as the school's athletic director (JU-Hugh Durham; APSU-Dave Loos; Coppin State-Fang Mitchell).
