Football Continues Celebrity Guest Analyst Radio Program

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Jacksonville University football continues its celebrity guest analyst program for Dolphin home games this Saturday when Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback David Garrard joins Cole Pepper in the booth for the Dolphins' Homecoming matchup against Austin Peay at 12:30 p.m. at D.B. Milne Field. The Dolphin Pregame Show begins at noon.

Garrard, a three-year NFL veteran, currently serves as the Jaguars' backup quarterback. The East Orange, N.J. native has played in six games during his pro career, completing 55.2 percent of his passes and throwing for two touchdowns. He also has two touchdown runs during his time in Jacksonville.

Garrard was drafted by the Jaguars in the fourth round of the 2002 draft out of East Carolina. While with the Pirates, he led the team to three bowl games, including a memorable battle against current teammate Byron Leftwich in the 2001 GMAC Bowl, a 64-61 shootout won by Leftwich's Marshall squad. Garrard owns four ECU career records, including touchdown passes (60) and total offense (10,238 yards) during his four-year career.

Other JU celebrity analysts this season include former Oakland Raider Pete Banaszak (Webber International) from the Jacksonville Jaguars Radio Network and First Coast News sports anchors Dan Hicken and Jeff Prosser (TBA), who also host `Sports Final Wake-Up Call' weekdays morning on "The Winner", AM 970.

All JU games, as well as `The Steve Gilbert Show', air live on "The Winner", AM 970 WNNR. Pepper is in his fourth season as the "Voice of the Dolphins", while former Dolphin Josh Beauchamp provides sideline commentary.
