JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville football team hits the midway point in its spring practice and will go through live team drills on Thursday.

The live team drills are close to a scrimmage, but with the coaches being more hands on and breaking each play down.

With six practices and one scrimmage under their belt, the Dolphins are hoping to use the final two weeks of spring practice to fine tune the new offense and defense.

"We had a good scrimmage last Saturday and I'm expecting to see more improvement out there on Thursday," said JU head coach Kerwin Bell. "We have thrown a lot at these guys in a short amount of time, but we've instilled in them how important these practices are for them to get familiar with our system."

Practice will start at 3:20 p.m., with the team drills beginning around 5 p.m.
