2007: Played in nine games as a sophomore, starting four, including the final three games…found his freshman season form at the end of the campaign, putting up 30 tackles in the final three games…had a career-best 14 tackles against Valparaiso (11/3), with 11 being solos…followed that with 10 tackles against Butler (11/10), along with an interception, two pass breakups, a forced fumble and a sack…finished the season ranked sixth on the team in tackles with 41.
2006: Impact player at strong safety as a true freshman…entered preseason camp as a running back before moving to defense…started all 10 games at strong safety…tallied a season-high 11 tackles at Morehead State (10/21)…tied his season-high with 11 tackles (seven solo) against No. 1 San Diego (11/4)…recorded his first interception and his first sack while also breaking up a pass against Dayton (10/14)…also defended a pass against Gardner-Webb (9/2), at Southeastern Louisiana (9/16) and at Butler (9/23)…finished with at least five tackles in 8-of-10 games.
High School: Three-year starter in football at Port Charlotte High School for coach Ray Hixon…as a senior, named team MVP while being able to play only seven games due to an injury… also a three-year starter at guard for coach Billy Specht for the Pirate basketball team, while earning four-letters in track for coach Dave Hoffer.
