2008: Played in 11 games as a sophomore…earned PFL all-conference honorable mention…was second on the team in touchdown receptions with five…led the team in yards per reception (20.1)…caught a touchdown pass in four straight games…had a season-best 70 yards on two catches with one touchdown at Morehead State (10/18)…racked up a career-best two touchdown receptions against Webber International (10/9)…had at least 40 yards receiving in three games…joined the baseball team in the spring, playing one game.

2007: Played in eight games as a freshman…had three catches on the season, two coming against UNC-Pembroke (9/22)…his two catches against UNCP were for 66 yards, with the longest being a leaping 36-yard reception.

High School: Played four years at Marathon High School under head coach Lance Martin…was named offensive “Most Valuable Player” his last three years of high school after starting at quarterback and strong safety…led his team to the district championship and third place in the state as a senior after rushing for 1,105 yards and 12 touchdowns, as well as throwing for 305 yards and three touchdowns before his season ended after four games due to an ACL tear…named team “Most Valuable Player” and was all-state honorable mention…led team to the district championship and a fourth-place finish in the state as a junior after throwing for 1,200 yards and nine touchdowns as well as rushing for 1,100 yards and 15 touchdowns at quarterback…also recorded 77 tackles as the starting strong safety…was named all-county and all-state honorable mention…as a sophomore rushed for 300 yards and three touchdowns as well as passing for 95 yards and one touchdown…recorded 85 tackles, three sacks and three interceptions on defense…earned all-state honors on defense…was named team’s “Most Improved Player” as a freshman after passing for 508 yards and eight touchdowns as a freshman as well as rushing for 207 yards and four touchdowns…led the Marathon baseball team to the district championship three years in a row and was a four-year starter and allcounty performer in the sport…member of the honor roll his junior and senior years.
