Bradley led the Dolphins to the 1989 NCAA South Regional, its first appearance in the national tournament in 13 years, where the team won its first game back in postseason play. Bradley guided JU to three 40-win seasons and never won less than 30 games in his final nine years as a Dolphin. In fact, 10 of Bradley's 12 squads finished with a winning record. Along with his other accomplishments, Bradley led the school to its first-ever Sun Belt Conference Tournament championship in 1989. His teams hold three of the top five single-season batting averages in school history, as well as the top five home run marks. Bradley's 1983 team led the nation with a school-record 110 home runs. After JU, Bradley spent ten seasons (1991-2000) as head coach of the University of Maryland baseball program. He led the Terrapins to 243 wins overall and posted 57 wins in Atlantic Coast Conference play. Additionally, Bradley was a pitcher in MLB from 1969-1975 with the California Angles, Chicago White Sox and the San Francisco Giants. |
