Quinn served as the Director of Basketball Operations his first season, overseeing scouting, team travel and academic progress. With the promotion to assistant coach, Quinn is responsible for the basketball program’s study hall efforts, which has produced seven academic all-conference honorees. He is also involved in recruiting as well as player development and scouting.
“Trevor knows the game of basketball and he knows the in-and-outs of a program,” said JU head coach Cliff Warren. “His knowledge and experience will be a great asset for our program.”
A four-year letter winner at Goucher College, Quinn was team captain his final three seasons. A student of the game, he has worked several camps as a coach including the Army Basketball Camp, the Navy Basketball Camp, Morgan Wooten’s Basketball Camp and Leonard Hamilton’s Florida State Basketball Camp.
Prior to his arrival at JU, Quinn spent two seasons at Florida State as a graduate assistant. During his time with the Seminoles, he assisted in recruiting, was responsible for film exchange as well as off-season workouts.
He gained valuable experience in player development, working with Alexander Johnson and Al Thornton as they prepared for the NBA Draft. Johnson now plays with the Miami Heat and Thornton was a lottery pick for the Los Angeles Clippers.During his two seasons at Florida State, the Seminoles made back-to-back NIT appearances along with a win at Duke.
A native of Serena Park, Md., Quinn graduated from Goucher College in 2005 with his bachelor’s degree in communications. He followed that by getting his master’s degree in sports management from Florida State in 2007.
