JU Athletics Hall of Famer Micah Ross to speak on April 13
Jacksonville University will welcome alumni Micah Ross on April 13 as part of the Dolphin Alumni Speakers Series at 5:30 p.m. at the Ross Theater.

Ross was a standout basketball player from 1995-98 and played on JU’s first football team in 1998, becoming a star wide receiver with his height and speed. The first Dolphin to play in the NFL, Ross played for four seasons in the NFL with Jacksonville, San Diego and Carolina. On the hardwood, he led the team in scoring, field goals made, rebounds and blocked shots during his senior season. He is also a member of the 1,000-point club with 1,093 career points.

Ross is currently a world history teacher at Fleming Island High School where he coaches football, men’s basketball, men’s and women’s track and women’s weightlifting.
