JU dives back into conference play with three-game road trip
JU head coach Cliff Warren has stressed all season that the Dolphins will need everyone to contribute for the team to be successful.
All 12 Dolphins will be called upon again as JU resumes Atlantic Sun Conference play on Monday, starting a three-game road trip at Campbell.
Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast on the radio at 1010XL and on the Internet at ASun.TV.
The Dolphins (8-3, 2-0 A-Sun) enter the A-Sun gauntlet tied for first with Belmont and Lipscomb. Campbell will be starting a five-game homestand after a 72-59 loss at ETSU on Dec. 30.
“Every conference game is important,” said JU head coach Cliff Warren. “Any time you go on the road, you face a challenge and Campbell is a tough team that is playing well.”
The JU bench has been a key part of the Dolphins success early this season and that was on display in the 67-60 win over Bethune-Cookman.
Travis Cohn came off the bench to lead the team with 14 points and Delwan Graham added 12 points as the bench scored more than the starters, 34-33.
The Dolphins bench has scored at least 23 points in the last five games and put up at least 20 points in every game but two so far this season.
“Everyone on the team has to contribute for us to be successful,” Warren said. “Our guys coming off the bench know that they have to be ready when their number is called.”
