On Feb. 3, Beaver Street Fisheries is making the doors wide open at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena with free admission for the Dolphins basketball doubleheader against Belmont.

The Sea Best Seafood night tips at 5 p.m. with the JU women taking on Belmont. There will be a tailgate area in front of the Arena starting prior to tipoff of the women’s game, with the men’s game set to start at 7:15 p.m.

“Beaver Street Fisheries and our brand, Sea Best, are proud and fortunate to be partners with JU athletics,” said Mark Frisch, Executive Vice President of Beaver Street Fisheries. “We are really excited about this night. We are hoping we can help attract as many people as possible from our city to come see some great college basketball action by opening up the doors to them.”

This will be the fourth straight year JU has opened the doors for a game, starting in 2008 when the Dolphins hosted ETSU in front of a crowd of 6,873 – the largest crowd to watch the Dolphins at home in more than 20 years.

“Thanks to our partners at Beaver Street Fisheries, we invite the entire city of Jacksonville to take in this game between two of the top teams in our conference,” said JU director of athletics Alan Verlander. “With the success of our teams early this season, we want to see a great crowd packing the Arena for these games.”
