JU alumnus Travis Cohn has been signed to play for the Springfield Armor of the NBA Development League this season.

As a senior, Cohn averaged more than 10 points per game and helped lead the Dolphins to three straight postseason appearances, including trips to the second round of the NIT and CIT.

“We’re excited for Travis to get this opportunity to play at a high level,” said JU head coach Cliff Warren. “The NBDL has launched many players into the NBA and this is an opportunity for Travis to show he can play with the best in the country.”

Cohn will make his professional debut on Friday night as the NBDL season tips off. You can follow him through the Armor’s website by clicking here.

HARDY NAMED PLAYER OF THE MONTH

Overseas, Ayron Hardy is making a big splash in his rookie season in the United Kingdom.

Playing for the Leicester Riders, Hardy was named October “Player of the Month” after being named to the “Team of the Week” all four weeks as he leads the Riders to an undefeated record thus far. He averaged 18.2 points per game during the month, hitting 67.9 percent from the floor, while grabbing 9.0 rebounds per game.

"Ayron gets it done in so many ways, it is hard to keep track,” said Riders head coach Rob Paternostro. “His reach and athleticism are exceptional. But he goes about his business quietly and is a real team player, and his numbers point to his efficiency. I think this honor is extremely well deserved."
