Dolphins return to the court to face FGCU
The Jacksonville men’s basketball team wraps up its tour of Florida on Monday night when they face Florida Gulf Coast.

The Dolphins are looking to finish the job after grabbing the lead in the second half against Stetson, but were unable to hold on as the Hatter rallied in the final 12 minutes.

Jacksonville (2-13, 0-4 A-Sun) got a team-high 15 points from Glenn Powell at Stetson, with 13 of those coming in the second half. The big second half was the eighth time this season that he has put up 10 points or more in a half.

What plagued the Dolphins was their inability to cash in on Stetson miscues. JU forced 21 turnovers, but only scored 21 points off the mistakes.

FGCU (6-9, 2-3 A-Sun) is looking to rebound after seeing a 21-point lead evaporate in an overtime loss to North Florida on Saturday.

Aloys Cabell tied his season and career high with five assists at Stetson…Tevin Galvin picked up a season-best and career-high tying four steals versus the Hatters…Shamile Jeffers scored a season-high five points against Stetson…The Dolphins defense has given up some hot shooting nights this season, with the last 11 opponents hitting at least 40 percent from the floor.
