Jacksonville University (6-0, 2-0 TAAC)
The Dolphins are off to their best start (6-0) since the 1979-80 season. JU is averaging 81.5 points per game, while holding opponents to a conference-best 58.0 points per contest. The Dolphins lead the TAAC in field goal percentage defense limiting opponents to .384 shooting on the season. Last year, JU's opponents shot .484 for the year. Defense has keyed JU the past two games, as the Dolphins held Jacksonville State (11) and Troy State (25) a combined 36 points in the second half, while holding them to .241 shooting after intermission.

Four Dolphins are scoring in double figures, led by Brandon Williams' 19.2 points per game. Williams, who leads the conference in scoring and is shooting a conference-best .885 (23-26) from the line, has scored 20 or more points in three of JU's six wins (33, 21, 20). Kris Hunter is third on the team in scoring (11.8 ppg), but leads the team and TAAC in field goal percentage (.635) and blocks (3.5 bpg), while ranking second in the league in rebounding (7.3 rpg).

High Point (4-4, 0-1 Big South)
The Panthers are 4-4 on the season following a 68-56 loss at West Virginia on Thursday night. High Point has won three of its last five games, including three straight over Georgia Southern, Campbell and Bluefield before losing to Radford, 66-56, and West Virginia. Two Panthers are scoring in double figures, led by Sophomore guard Dustin Van Weerdhuizen, who averages 13.0 points and 4.0 rebounds a game. Junior forward Valdas Kaukenas is averaging 10.4 points per game. High Point is a member of the Big South Conference.
