Around The World With K-Dog

Aug. 27, 2001

August 26
After a day off, we were on the scene again, this time against Bulgaria. The game was very close throughout. We had the lead most of the game, but Bulgaria kept on pushing. We finally gave Bulgaria the knockout blow with 3:00 remaining in the contest. I had 11 points and four assists as we recorded a 79-53 victory in front of 16,000 screaming fans. We are now 2-2 for the tournament. Lebanon is next.

August 27
Today was an easy day. I only played two quarters and finished with 14 points and four assists as we beat Lebanon, 103-63. The game was no contest. Although we crushed this team, we won with class. We took off our full-court press in the middle of the third quarter. All of our players had a chance to show the Chinese nation our full strength. It is still really disappointing that we lost that game to Greece. If we had won, who knows how far we might have gone. Nigeria is tomorrow and we are going to finish this tourney with a winning record. We are now 3-2.

See you tomorrow.
