JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Senior Forward Calvin Warner (Jacksonville/Sandalwood) scored a game-high 21 points on 8-of-10 shooting to lead three Dolphins in double figures as Jacksonville finished the exhibition season with a 76-58 win over the Argentina Select team Friday night at Swisher Gymnasium. JU, which opens the regular season by hosting Saint Leo next Friday at 7 p.m., beat North Florida on Wednesday, 75-60.

Senior guard James Daniels (Port St. Joe, Fla.) added 15 points, while Kevin Sheppard (St. Croix, Virgin Islands) scored 12 for JU, which shot 54 percent from the field. Senior center Ryan Lewis (New Orleans, La.) pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds and registered five of the Dolphins' seven blocks. JU out-rebounded Argentina, 40-23, while limiting them to just 23-of-53 shooting from the field.

JU jumped out to a 46-29 halftime behind 17 first-half points from Warner as the Dolphins hit 16-of-25 shots and out-rebounded Argentina, 20-6. JU led by as much as 27 at the 13-minute mark of the second half following an 18-6 run. Two steals by the Dolphins sparked the run, which included a dunk by Warner and a pair of Sheppard 3-pointers. The lead never got below 16 in the second half.

Mauricio Pedemonte paced Argentina with 16 points, while Gustavo Nobile added 14 and Eduardo Villares scored 13. Argentina, which played lost to UCF on Wednesday, 101-89, will play at Stetson on Saturday night.
