Dolphins Look For Third-Straight At Florida Atlantic

Last Game: The Dolphins won their second straight game with a 73-53 victory over Savannah St. at Swisher Gymnasium on Jan. 13. FAU lost at Mercer, 86-79, on Jan. 11.
Down To The Wire ... The Dolphins have made a habit of playing close games since Atlantic Sun Conference play began. JU's three conference games have been decided by a combined nine points (3.0 ppg). The Dolphins lost 70-68 on a last-second put-back against Troy St. and then missed a potential game-tying three-pointer at the Buzzer in a 71-68 loss to Mercer. JU finally got on the other side of the margin at Stetson, pulling out a 75-71 victory. Last year, the Dolphins had eight games decided by three points or less, finishing with a 6-2 record.
Warner Comes Through ... Senior forward Calvin Warner stepped up in the last two games. Warner is averaging 24.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists in the last two contests, while shooting 62% from the floor and 87% (13-15) from the line. He scored a game-high 25 points on 10-of-14 shooting in JU's 75-71 win at Stetson and then poured in a game-high 24 points and grabbed nine boards in JU's 73-53 win over Savannah State.
Dribbles ... Head coach Hugh Durham got his 597th career win on Monday, while coaching his 991th career game...Antwan Robertson is averaging 9.7 points and 5.0 rebounds in A-Sun play...JU has limited A-Sun opponents to just 18% (11-61) shooting from beyond the arc...Ryan Lewis surpassed 100 career blocks (103) with four rejections vs. Savannah St...With his six assists vs. Savannah St., Kevin Sheppard passed Vaughn Wedeking and Rex Morgan and moved into fourth all-time at JU with 360 career assists...JU has out-rebounded its opponents 94-56 (+38) the last 2 games.
