After 10 non-conference games, the Jacksonville University men's basketball team has one focus on its mind now - the remaining 16 games in Atlantic Sun Conference play.

That gauntlet begins Tuesday night as the Dolphins face Gardner-Webb at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. JU then hosts Campbell on Thursday in the second half of a doubleheader at 7 p.m.

The Dolphins (4-8) are looking to get back into the win column after dropping three straight games on the road at Texas A&M, Georgia and South Carolina. Working in their favor is JU's 4-0 start at home - averaging 84.5 points per game at the Arena.

"You always want your home court to be an advantage and we're fortunate that we've been able to play well at the Arena so far this season," said JU head coach Cliff Warren. "The fans have been behind us and have given our guys a big lift so far. We want all of the JU fans to come out this weekend to be our sixth man."

JU's home-court advantage has seen the Dolphins win by an average of 14.8 points and hit 49 percent of their shots from the floor.

The scoring increase is shown by the fact that five Dolphins are averaging double figures in scoring at home and seven are averaging at least nine points, led by Marcus Allen's 16 points per game. Allen also leads the team in rebounds, with an average of 7.8 per game.

Both games can be heard on the JU Sports Network, with Barry Milligan calling the play-by-play. The games will air on ESPN-1460 and on the internet at
