Cliff Warren Basketball Camp completes another successful year

June 19, 2007

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Cliff Warren Basketball Camp was a huge success in the camps over the past two weeks.

The camps featured drills and teaching from the JU coaching staff along with special speakers - including Portland Trailblazers' point guard Jarrett Jack. The camp stresses hard work on the fundamentals that enable each camper to improve as the week progresses.

Warren is a firm believer of reaching out to the community and the camp is becoming a great tool for children locally.

"We had two really good weeks of camp and a great turnout," Warren said. "We feel that it is important for us to be involved in the community and this camp is a great tool to do that. We are able to meet these kids and teach them the fundamentals in the hope of recruiting them to play here someday."

"The camp also allows us to meet the parents and coaches of these children, with the goal that everyone will follow the progress of our basketball team during the season."

At the camp, kids went through drills and played games to become better basketball players
